Racegoers arriving before 3:30pm will each receive a complimentary 2025/26 Racing Calendar2. By scanning the designated QR code on site, they can enter the Sha Tin Racecourse Delights: Season Opening Lucky Draw1 for a chance to win prizes totalling over HK$880,000. Before the races begin, they can participate in the traditional gong-striking on the Public Enclosure Forecourt for good fortune, followed by the opening ceremony and lion dance performance in the Parade Ring. Popular singer MC Cheung ("MC") will return to the racecourse, performing his hit songs in the Parade Ring to elevate the festive vibe.

Opening Ceremony to Build Anticipation
Adding star power to one of Hong Kong's most anticipated racing events, rising star MC Cheung is taking time from his busy promotional schedule to make a special appearance at Sha Tin Racecourse on 7 September. Fresh from the success of his album "Sweet & Sour" and his hit song "Peach Blossom Island", which garnered nearly a million views in just one month and topped the new song charts on various music platforms for several consecutive weeks, showing immense popularity. MC will perform in the Parade Ring before the first race, sharing this momentous occasion with music fans and racegoers alike.
"I was deeply impressed by the electric atmosphere when I performed at the racecourse last year. I'm delighted to collaborate again with The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and honoured to perform on the grand stage in the Parade Ring," MC says. Asked about his must-visit spot at the racecourse, MC enthusiastically cites the gong area: "I've heard that striking the lucky gongs brings good fortune. I hope it will bring everyone good luck in the new racing season."
Scintillating Sunday's opening ceremony will feature an energetic lion dance performance, with officiating guests presiding over the eye-dotting and gong-striking ceremonies.
